An 11-year-old boy is dead after a shooting near a park in Minneapolis on Monday afternoon.
Minneapolis police were called to Folwell Park on Dowling Avenue North around 2:08 p.m. on a report of gunfire in the park.
Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O’Hara said witnesses reported seeing a car driving through the park and two other cars moving through the parking lot at the time of the shooting.
A short time later, a good Samaritan sitting on his porch near Morgan Avenue North and Dowling Avenue heard cries for help and found the 11-year-old boy with two other men, Chief O’Hara said…
