Reed Timmer, the world’s most famous storm chaser, was spotted in Minneapolis Wednesday morning in his armored vehicle known as “Dominator 3.”
Timmer has been in the region chasing tornadoes over the past week. He tracked the violent tornadoes that ripped through North Dakota last Friday, and he found himself in the path of a tornado that touched down in northern Minnesota near Grygla on Monday.
Now he’s headed towards the Minnesota-Iowa border for tornado potential on Wednesday after spending the night in downtown Minneapolis, where someone attempted to break-in to his chasing vehicle.
According to Timmer, the tornado threat Wednesday afternoon and evening is increasing in northern Iowa and southern Minnesota. Bring Me The News meteorologist Sven Sundgaard agrees, saying that if the sun breaks through the clouds it could set the stage for a “good tornado setup.”…
