Turquoise Vintage to relocate from Minneapolis storefront due to high rent, low sales

After a decade on Minnehaha Avenue, Turquoise Vintage is packing up shop.

Part of an explosion of second-hand shops along that corridor, Turquoise has announced plans to move to a new location in Montevideo.

“Many of you have heard me talk about the struggle to survive the last few years because of crazy rent increases and lower sales, etc.,” reads a post on the store’s Facebook page. “I’m excited to take this next step & hopefully lower the stress level in my life. AFTER the crazy job of moving everything, that is!”

Turquoise has been open for almost 12 years, 10 of which have been at its current location, 3869 Minnehaha Ave. The post adds that ownership plans to be out of its current storefront by the end of October…
