Minnesota rainfall totals after street flooding reported in Twin Cities

Street flooding was reported in the Twin Cities after fast-falling rain caused water to pool during Wednesday’s storms.

A flash flooding warning was issued in the metro area as a storm system that brought tornadoes elsewhere in the state also brought a heavy band of rain.

The highest unofficial rain total reported to the Community Collaborative Rain, Hail and Snow Network (CoCoRAHS) was 5.7 inches in Renville.
