A new outdoor concert venue is coming to Minnesota! I love concerts, but especially when they’re outdoors. I don’t know, they just hit different.
This new venue will be along the Mississippi River, which will provide some incredible views when this new spot opens.
Huge Grant Awarded to the City of Minneapolis
The venue is going to be built in Minneapolis with the help of a massive grant that was just given to the city.
The state of Minnesota just recently approved a $12.5 million grant to the city of Minneapolis for this project. Yeah, that’s a ton of money!
$12.5 million is just a drop in the bucket compared to how much in total will go towards this project in general, because not just a new concert venue that will be there.
City of Minneapolis Huge North Side Project
This project kicked off in 2024 and, as 5 Eyewitness News writes, will be a redevelopment of the Upper Harbor Terminal, which “runs from the Lowry Bridge to just beyond Dowling Avenue.”
That’s where this new outdoor concert venue will go, as well as new housing, businesses, and a bike and pedestrian trail along the Mississippi…
