A south Minneapolis homeowner stumbled upon a historic surprise as workers were replacing the siding of his century-old home.
The ad features the line “Eventually, why not now?”, an advertising slogan Gold Medal Flour began using in 1907. It quickly became a part of pop culture, and was used through the 1950s.
Citing property records, KARE 11 reports that the Minnehaha Avenue home used to be a grocery store and was moved over one lot in November 1915. Johnson told WCCO that he will try and preserve a portion of the sign and is working with local historians.…
