Young man involved in fatal MOA shooting charged in another gang-related killing

A young man who was involved in a high-profile murder at the Mall of America days before Christmas 2022 has since been charged in connection with two other fatal gang-related shootings in the Twin Cities, according to prosecutors.

Marquan Tucker, 20, was charged on Monday with second-degree murder in the July 2023 fatal shooting of Patrick Henderson outside an unlicensed nightclub in north Minneapolis. He was already behind bars awaiting trial in another gang-related murder that took place late last year in Brooklyn Park.

At the beginning of this year, investigators interviewed a man who said Tucker confessed to the 2023 shooting two weeks after it happened, according to the latest charges. The FBI’s Cellular Analysis Survey Team determined that Tucker’s phone was in the area of the shooting when it happened and left shortly after.
