Thousands of nurses in Twin Cities and Duluth ratify new contract

Thousands of unionized nurses in the Twin Cities and Duluth areas have ratified a new contract following months of contentious negotiations, the Minnesota Nurses Association (MNA) announced on Monday.

A strike was averted at many facilities earlier this month when a tentative agreement was reached between the MNA, which represents the nurses, and hospitals where they work.
