Big trucks are going to be parading through downtown Minneapolis later this month.
The City of Minneapolis has announced its first-ever “Minneapolis Moves: The Big Honking Truck Parade,” which will run along Nicollet Mall on July 31.
The parade of big trucks is part of Mayor Jacob Frey’s Downtown Action Plan, bringing events and commerce to the city center as part of a revitalization effort.
“From fire engines to snowplows, residents of all ages know that Minneapolis is the best trucking city ever!” Mayor Frey said in a statement. “So we thought, ‘Why not bring them all together for a big parade downtown?’ It’s a fun way for families to connect with the people and equipment that keeps our city trucking. And it’s one more way we’re bringing Nicollet Mall to life.”…
