A Brooklyn Park man has been sentenced for firing a gun that resulted in the death of his friend last year.
As previously reported, Anwar Hussein Mohamed, 20, was charged with one count of second-degree manslaughter in January for a negligent discharge that killed 19-year-old Nebil Ahmed Omer.
The Hennepin County Attorney’s Office announced that Mohamed was sentenced to four years of probation, with 364 days in the Adult Corrections Facility, according to court documents. He must also complete 120 hours of community service work on firearm training…
