Cold temps tie Twin Cities record, but climate change makes chilly July days a rarity

Brrr! If you were out early Thursday morning you felt the autumnal chill in the air! Temperatures were about 10 to 15 degrees cooler than normal across the state early Thursday.

This comes after a very cool afternoon and evening Wednesday, just a day after hitting 93 degrees in the Twin Cities.

The low early Thursday reached 52 degrees in the Twin Cities, that TIES a record for July 17 set back in 1976. International Falls also tied a record low of 42, which was originally set back in 1918…
