Minneapolis Black Business Week 2025 Opens at Historic 38th & Chicago

The fifth annual Minneapolis Black Business Week launched with energy and intention at the heart of 38th Street and Chicago Avenue in South Minneapolis—an intersection known around the world as the site of George Floyd’s murder, and now a growing beacon of Black business ownership and resilience.

Entrepreneurs, community leaders, artists, and neighbors gathered to celebrate the legacy and future of Black entrepreneurship in the Twin Cities. With food, music, art, and powerful conversations, the event brought hundreds of attendees to a vibrant commercial corridor anchored by businesses like Bichota Coffee, Plot Gallery, Mystic Healing Stones, City Food Studio, and Just Turkey.
