An internal audit has determined that Minneapolis didn’t violate the “separation ordinance” prohibiting city police from assisting with immigration actions when officers responded to the scene of a federal raid at a Mexican restaurant in early June.
A report by the Minneapolis City Auditor concluded that Minneapolis police officers served as crowd control, and they did not arrest anyone nor question anyone about their immigration status during the June 3 raid at Las Cuatro Milpas taqueria in south Minneapolis.
