18-year-old ordered to stand trial as an adult in 2 separate Minneapolis homicides

An 18-year-old was ordered to stand trial as an adult in connection with two separate homicides in Minneapolis.

Ashawn Kyrio Willis faces one count of second-degree murder for a March 2024 homicide and one count of second-degree murder for a homicide in November.

The orders certifying him as an adult were filed on Friday. His first appearances in adult court for both cases are scheduled for Monday.
