Officer injured, weapon discharged during arrest near Minneapolis park

A Minneapolis Park Police officer’s weapon discharged and he sustained a minor injury during the arrest of a sexual assault suspect Monday, police officials said.

The incident near Mueller Park drew a major law enforcement response, and investigators believe the officer’s service weapon fired one round while still inside the holster during a struggle with the suspect.
