Minneapolis Police Department Celebrates Community at Annual Back to School Jamboree with Backpacks and More

The Minneapolis Police Department recently hosted its annual Back to School Jamboree, a community-building event aimed at providing essential resources for students preparing to return to school. In a statement released on their official Facebook page, the department extended a “huge THANK YOU to everyone who came out and supported our annual Back to School Jamboree last week!” It was a collaborative effort in conjunction with the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office.

Reflecting community spirit and the power of partnership, nearly 500 backpacks stocked with school supplies were distributed, a gesture made possible by local sponsors and community members ‘ generosity. An impressive turnout of over 1,000 people, the event featured fun activities and a chance to form connections, sweetened by the tastes of BBQ sharing space with the officers.
