Samie teams up with a fair-goer to bring ‘trouble’ to the Minnesota State Fair

FALCON HEIGHTS, Minn. — The Minnesota State Fair is all about food, fun, and rides — and sometimes, a little unexpected company.

When KARE 11’s Samie Solina stopped to find a companion for the Sky Glider, 10-year-old Dean Winterlin quickly volunteered. Winterlin, who described himself as a bit of a troublemaker, turned out to be the perfect partner for the ride.

Between laughing about his parents and pointing out his love for the fair’s giant slide, Winterlin showed off the energy and tradition that keep families coming back year after year. He even wore a hat marking the Giant Slide’s 50th anniversary…
