Comedy Corner Underground, a pillar of Twin Cities comedy, will close this weekend

The Comedy Corner Underground, a pillar of the Twin Cities comedy scene, is closing its doors this weekend after more than 20 years of laughs.

The Cedar-Riverside neighborhood hub announced the news earlier this month. It, along with the Corner Bar, is closing after the building was sold in July and no new lease was offered, according to a social media post from the bar.

The club will have its final show on Saturday, Aug. 23, with an early set from Jake Silberman and Zach Kagan and a 10 p.m. open mic.
