Burnsville officials are weighing a proposal to convert the longtime Hampton Inn hotel into a residential treatment facility for adults with mental health and substance use disorders.
The four-story Hampton Inn, which opened in 1997, is next to the Original Pancake House on land bounded by 1-35W, I-35E and County Road 42. The development area, which also houses the Fairfield Inn, was dubbed the city’s “Golden Triangle” in the 1980s.
