Minneapolis named one of nation’s best places to retire

With the potential for significant social security cuts looming, retirement continues to be a concern for older Americans.

As Americans’ expected retirement age continues to climb, personal finance site Wallet Hub has issued a new study about the best and worst cities for retirees, and Minneapolis placed high on the list.

“Retirement isn’t all about the money,” the study’s authors state. “Retirees want to live in a place where they enjoy safety and access to good healthcare, especially in light of significant inflation and economic uncertainty. The ideal city will also have lots of ways to spend leisure time, along with good weather.”
