The family of twelve-year-old Sophia Forchas is asking for prayers from the community as their daughter continues to recover in the hospital following last Wednesday’s mass shooting at Annunciation Church.
Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minneapolis) shared a statement on social media from the Forchas family on Tuesday, which says Sophia had to have “one side of her skull removed” to reduce swelling and the coming days will be critical for her recovery and future quality of life.
She was still listed as of Wednesday morning as being in a critical condition at Hennepin County Medical Center, where her mother Amy is a pediatric critical care nurse…
