A 6-year-old boy injured in a crash in Minneapolis’ North Side caused by a fleeing carjacking suspect faces a “long journey ahead” as he recovers, family say.
The crash occurred Thursday morning on Olson Memorial Highway at Penn Avenue North when a carjacking suspect ran a red light, t-boning a vehicle containing Liberty Borg and Marisa Casebolt, both 25 and from Minneapolis.
The women were pronounced dead at the scene after suffering “catastrophic” injuries. Borg’s 6-year-old son, Greyson, was hospitalized with injuries that included two broken legs and a traumatic brain injury.
