Sun Country Upsizes Fleet With 737-900ER

Sun Country is set to deploy Boeing 737-900ERs within its scheduled network for the first time. Joining the carrier’s existing fleet of 737-800s, the -900ERs will be its largest aircraft type.

The low-cost airline will launch 737-900ER service on Sept. 26, according to Cirium Diio schedule data. Initial routes will operate from Minneapolis/St. Paul to Phoenix and Las Vegas.

Starting in October, the carrier’s 737-900ERs will also operate on flights from Minneapolis to Fort Myers and Orlando in Florida.
