Murder trial starts for woman accused of killing Minneapolis woman whose body was found in Eyota

(ABC 6 News) — The murder trial for the woman accused of killing a Minneapolis resident whose body was found in Eyota began on Tuesday.

Margot Lewis, 33, was charged with two counts of second-degree murder in Hennepin County for the death of Liara Tsai back in June 2024. She has also been charged with interfering with a dead body in Olmsted County.

According to court documents, Tsai’s body was found in the backseat of a car driven by Lewis after a crash at the intersection of I-90 and Hwy 42 on June 22, 2024. The medical examiner who examined Tsai’s body determined it was “apparent” that she did not die as a result of the crash…
