Minneapolis Police Seize Large Narcotics Cache Following Penn Avenue North Surveillance and Chase

Minneapolis Police Department’s northside Community Response Team (CRT) has hit the headlines with a significant drug bust in the city’s 4th Precinct. According to a social media post by the department, CRT officers, using surveillance cameras at the intersection of Penn Avenue North and Lowry Avenue North, observed a man involved in drug sales, who they believed was carrying a large quantity of narcotics.

The surveillance operation quickly escalated into a foot chase when the suspect attempted to flee upon police intervention. Officers managed to apprehend the individual after a brief pursuit. In the course of events, the man discarded a backpack into a nearby dumpster—which, upon recovery, was found to contain several thousand dollars worth of crack cocaine and fentanyl. The incident was detailed by the Minneapolis Police Department in a public post on their official Facebook page.

After the chase and subsequent drug find, the suspect was taken into custody. He was booked into the Hennepin County Jail, facing charges of 1st Degree Narcotics. The Minneapolis Police Department, through their social media channels, expressed gratitude towards the vigilance of the officers involved, commenting, “Thanks to the vigilance of our officers, a significant amount of dangerous drugs is no longer on our streets.”…
