Tribute to Twin Cities father-of-two killed by driver as he conducted survey work

Community members are raising money for the family of a survey worker who was struck and killed by a driver in Scott County earlier this week.

Joseph Norgaard, 44, of Minneapolis, was struck by a driver while performing survey work along the roadway near the intersection of Texas Avenue and 230th Street East in New Market Township just before noon on Monday. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

A GoFundMe has been created to support Norgaard’s family, including wife Courtney – the former owner of the now-closed Local Roots cafe in Richfield – and their two sons.
