Following a shooting on Monday night that resulted in seven individuals suffering injuries, four of which are potentially life-threatening, the City of Minneapolis has stepped in to shut down a contentious encampment on private property located at S. 28th Avenue and Lake Street. The City has expressed persistent concerns about the site over the summer and has made multiple attempts to close the encampment, addressing issues including drug paraphernalia, unsanitary conditions, and inadequate facilities.
