Minnesota DFL to not reinstate endorsement in Minneapolis mayoral race

No candidate for Minneapolis mayor will have the DFL endorsement, including the candidate who once held it briefly.

Monday night, arguments were heard on whether to uphold the Minnesota DFL’s Constitution, Rules, and Bylaws Committee’s (CRBC) decision to remove the party’s endorsement of Minneapolis mayoral candidate Omar Fateh.

The CRBC received 85% support from the voting body, leading to its decision being upheld. Now, no candidate will officially move forward with the state or city’s DFL endorsement…
