Vacuum maker will close Brooklyn Park plant, lay off 105 workers

Danish manufacturer Nilfisk is closing its Brooklyn Park facility and laying off more than 100 employees.

The Copenhagen-based maker of industrial vacuums and floor cleaners informed Minnesota officials late last week that about 105 workers will be impacted by plans to shutter its plant at 9435 Winnetka Ave. N.

Nilfisk will end its U.S. manufacturing operations but relocate to a different Twin Cities office during the first half of 2026, bringing with it about 75 to 100 employees from Brooklyn Park, according to a Monday news release provided to Bring Me The News…
