The Minneapolis Police Department (MPD) has recently increased its ranks, swearing in 33 new officers in a ceremony at Shiloh Temple, as noted in a recent social media post from the department. Chief Brian O’Hara expressed pride in welcoming the diverse group, highlighting a mix of experiences and educational backgrounds among the recruits. According to the MPD’s announcement, this cohort includes 29 recruits and four lateral officers from other departments, with the majority holding bachelor’s degrees and a third with associate degrees.
