Minneapolis — Minneapolis police arrested three men in connection with a carjacking that occurred on the afternoon of September 30.
According to police, officers responded around 4:09 p.m. to the 10th block of 18th St. E. after a report that three men approached a vehicle and demanded the keys. When the victim initially refused, two of the men reportedly displayed handguns and again demanded the keys. The victim then handed over the keys, and the suspects drove away in the vehicle.
Less than 20 minutes later, officers were alerted to a suspicious vehicle on the 2300 block of Snelling Ave. A 911 caller reported two vehicles driving recklessly and following them into a secure underground parking garage.
