Minneapolis Police Apprehend Wanted Individual in Dinkytown Patrol

In what Minneapolis police are calling a proactive approach to community safety, officers on patrol in the Dinkytown neighborhood apprehended two individuals, one of whom had several active warrants, the department said in a statement.

Officials reported that while conducting their patrol behind a McDonald’s, officers encountered a vehicle illegally parked in an alley. Upon engaging with the occupants, they discovered open alcohol containers in the car, and the driver appeared to be impaired, making for both a traffic and health hazard in one fell swoop.

Further investigation revealed that the passenger, whose identity has not been released, was wanted on several charges, including a felony warrant. Following this discovery, both the driver and the passenger were arrested.
