Auditor: Cost more than doubling for outside help reviewing high-profile cases, MPD not cooperating

The cost for taxpayers is now more than double the original price the Minneapolis auditor estimated for hiring an outside law firm to help review two high-profile, violent cases — but he says it’s not his office’s fault.

Robert Timmerman placed the blame on the Minneapolis Police Department and the union that represents its rank and file.
