North Minneapolis residents call for HERC to be shut down this year

MINNEAPOLIS — Activists and people who live in north Minneapolis are fighting for the immediate closure of the Hennepin Energy Recovery Center.

Tuesday afternoon, people spoke in front of the Hennepin County Board to urge commissioners to follow through on the resolution to set a clear shutdown date for this year.
