Longtime employees buy beloved Twin Cities record stores

A decades-old Twin Cities record store has a pair of new owners with two very familiar faces to customers.

Down in the Valley, which operates locations in Golden Valley and Maple Grove, announced Tuesday that longtime employees Scott Farrell and Steven Williams have purchased both stores.

Farrell currently serves as the general manager, and Williams as its music buyer and assistant general manager.
