Minneapolis Residents Asked to Remove ‘Bows of Love’ Memorials from Public Spaces by October 30

Following the incident at the Parish of the Annunciation on August 27, Minneapolis residents placed thousands of green and blue ‘Bows of Love’ around the city. These bows represent support for those affected. As colder weather approaches, the bows are at risk of damage from street cleaning and snow removal. The community group Bows of Love has started a collection effort to save the bows for a future memorial.

The City of Minneapolis is asking residents to remove bows from public spaces near their homes by October 30, 2025. Bows should be taken down from trees, light poles, and street signs on public property. Residents may also move bows to their own property to protect them from city maintenance…
