A man charged in a Minneapolis mass shooting that left four people dead and one critically injured earlier this year has now been charged with assaulting law enforcement while attempting to escape from jail.
James Duane Ortley, 35, was recently charged with one count of attempting to escape custody, four counts of fourth-degree assault on law enforcement and one count of first-degree property damage in Hennepin County court.
