Plymouth fire chief, assistant fire chief both resign

Plymouth’s fire chief and assistant fire chief both notified the city of their resignations on Monday.

While Fire Chief Rodger Coppa and Assistant Fire Chief Steve Baker gave their two weeks’ notice, the city waived the requirement for them to work until Nov. 14, Emilie Kastner, a Plymouth city spokesperson, said.

Coppa and Baker submitted their resignations separately, Kastner said, and neither provided a formal explanation for their departure…
