Metro Transit Announces Reduced Bus and Train Service for Thanksgiving and Black Friday in Minneapolis-St. Paul

Metro Transit has announced its service schedule for Thanksgiving and the following day in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area. On Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 27, 2025, Metro Transit buses and the METRO Blue and Green lines will run on Sunday/Holiday schedules. The METRO Orange and Red lines will also use Sunday/Holiday schedules. Northstar trains and Northstar Link (Route 887) will not operate. The Transit Information Center, Metro Transit Service Centers, Customer Relations, and Lost & Found will be closed. Metro micro will offer reduced service from 7 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.

On Friday, November 28, 2025, Metro Transit and regional providers will reduce service due to lower demand. Most routes will follow Saturday schedules, and weekend fares will apply unless noted. Northstar and Northstar Link will run on regular weekday schedules. The Transit Information Center will be open from 6:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. The Minneapolis and St. Paul Service Centers will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Customer Relations and Lost & Found will operate from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Metro micro will follow Saturday service hours.

Some routes will maintain weekday service or have select trips. Routes 25, 33, 46, 75, 94, 250, 270, 355, 534, 537, 540, 542, 673, 705, 717, 768, 801, 804, and 850 will have certain trips during morning and afternoon peak hours.
