Minnesota Attorney General Closes Local Dog Breeder After Complaints From Residents

On November 4, 2025, Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison announced the closure of Bold North Frenchies L.L.C. The business was a dog breeder based in Minnesota. The closure followed an investigation by Ellison’s office.

The office received complaints that the breeder sold sick dogs across the country and did not provide required health and veterinary information to buyers.

As part of a settlement in Hennepin County, Bold North Frenchies will close. Its owners, Ali and Mark Holman, have agreed to stop selling animals in Minnesota.
