In a rare, lengthy and, at times, heated presentation, Minneapolis police shared about the effectiveness of its investigators and the challenges they’re facing in keeping up with high caseloads.
The focus was on case clearance rates in 2024. The police department considers cases cleared in multiple different ways — a few examples include an arrest, if a victim does not cooperate, or if the offender dies.
