Frustration and so far, no resolution about the future of George Floyd Square

From Minneapolis City Hall to George Floyd Square, there was plenty of frustration going around about the lack of progress on a city plan for the future of 38th and Chicago.

“I would like to see the right thing happen,” says Tommy Hunter, who runs a private security firm and is with the AGAPE Movement. “It’s been six long years, with no funding, period.”

“Nowhere have we seen delays like this when it comes to bids,” declared Council Member Robin Wonsley. “It should not have taken this long to know the outcome of the peoples’ way.”…
