In a recent operation to dismantle auto theft and violent crime, a combined law enforcement effort resulted in five arrests and the confiscation of two firearms in Brooklyn Center. According to a post from the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office, the arrests were part of a larger initiative supported by the Minnesota Auto Theft Prevention Grant.
The operation was a collaboration between the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office’s Auto Theft Unit, Violent Offender Task Force (VOTF), Criminal Intelligence Sharing and Analysis team (CISA), IMPACT team, and local police departments from Brooklyn Center, Minnetonka, St. Louis Park, and Crystal, as well as the Minnesota State Patrol.
