Hundreds of crashes, spinouts as heavy snow impacts Minnesota travel

Hundreds of crashes, spinouts and jackknifed semis have been reported since a winter storm brought heavy snow and blizzard conditions to Minnesota on Tuesday.

The Minnesota State Patrol says that as of 6 a.m Wednesday, it has received 253 reports of crashes resulting in vehicle damage, 30 resulting in injuries, 11 spinouts, and 333 vehicles off the road.

Among those off the road is this driver in west-central Minnesota, who decided a blizzard is the perfect time to start hauling a fishing boat.

There have also been 30 reports of jackknifed semis, which includes multiple semis that were involved in a pile-up on I-94 in western Minnesota Tuesday afternoon…
