North Loop’s First Dispensary Now Selling Legal Cannabis
After a long wait, the owners of SweetLeaves finally have a supply of legal cannabis–the actual plants–to sell at their North Loop shop. And it’s just in time for Green Wednesday, which has become a cannabis industry holiday on the day before Thanksgiving.
“If you’re new to cannabis, our expert bud tenders can help facilitate and find the best product for you,” said owner Adam Hoffman, “or if you’re a veteran, we have all the different types of cannabis that you may be looking for.”
They’ve been open for 18 months at 9th and Washington, selling hemp-based gummies, drinks and CBD products as well as hosting parties while lining up suppliers and waiting for the state to issue a license to sell marijuana to adults.
They actually received a small shipment earlier this month and let some of their loyal customers know about it. Their supply sold out in one weekend. But now, they’re fully stocked and opening sales to the general public.
