Catholic Charities Twin Cities, Hennepin County, Ramsey County and state housing leaders are warning that proposed HUD funding changes could destabilize housing programs and force residents back into homelessness.
In November, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) announced $3.9 billion in housing grants, calling it the largest overhaul in the program’s history. The Trump administration said the changes will end the Housing First model and redirect most funding to transitional housing and recovery services.
