A woman from Minneapolis has shared a harrowing account of being robbed on the streets of the city’s southside area. The victim, who has lived in Minneapolis her whole life, was attacked on Lake Street and 29th. The assailant, who she believes followed her from an alleyway, attacked her from behind, threw her to the ground, and took her purse. Fortunately, the purse contained nothing of value and the woman managed to recover her phone, which had fallen out of her pocket during the assault. The attacker was described as wearing a tan jacket and black pants, and was last seen running down the greenway. The victim has warned others in the Phillips area to be cautious and to prioritize their safety, especially during the darker winter months. Read more…
