On Wednesday evening, Bánh Appétit in Minneapolis announced plans to close before the end of the year.
“We regret to announce that after careful consideration and evaluation, we have made the difficult decision to close our doors,” reads a statement on social media. “Due to multiple reasons, we feel it would not be ideal for us to continue operations.”
The restaurant, which opened at a different location in 2009 under the name Bun Mi Sandwiches, will host its final day of service at 511 14th Ave. SE, in the Marshall Building, on Dec. 23.
“With both of our locations being on or near the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities, it has been incredible to see so many of you start as freshmen with us, graduate, and move on to do some truly amazing things with your lives,” the statement continues…
