A man was sentenced to nearly seven years(80 months) in connection with an assault that caused the victim to die days later.
Coby Levan Richardson, 43, pleaded guilty to second-degree manslaughter in October. As part of the plea agreement, counts of second-degree murder, threats of violence and fifth-degree assault were dismissed at sentencing. He was given credit for 296 days already served.
