Minneapolis man found guilty in Coon Rapids triple homicide

COON RAPIDS, Minn. — A Minneapolis man was found guilty last Friday for his role in a 2024 triple murder that claimed the lives of a mother, her husband and son in Coon Rapids.

Omari Malik Shumpert was found guilty on several counts, including aiding and abetting first-degree murder, first-degree murder with intent, and second-degree murder.
